BOISE

Tucker Love has taught journalism and advised a variety of publications at Shawnee Mission South High School (Overland Park, KS) for eight years, somehow landing his dream job right out of college. Prior to getting his journalism education degree, Love studied graphic design for two years, which left a significant impression on him and his design approach.

The yearbook, Heritage, has received regional, state and national recognition from JEMKC, KSPA, Quill & Scroll, NSPA and CSPA, earning their first NSPA Pacemaker for Heritage 2022 and first CSPA Gold Crown for Heritage 2023. The Patriot student newspaper and Inscriptions literary magazine have also received recognition at the regional, state and national levels.

When Love isn’t doing student journalism things, he is probably drinking coffee, pretending to read a book on his ever-growing list, or thinking about his next tattoo.
